Someday I'll get the space

Someday I'll get the space and time to do more scrapbooking. (Hopefully our new apartment will have the space). Above are some layouts that I did for the old "Crop Room" (which is moving down the street to a new location) layout of the month and last day crop.
:) I'm getting there. I hope to get a lot better when I have the time and space to really Crop it down!

The monogram game

So we had picked our monograms for the wedding, and now that it is down to the putting the invitations together I have come to the point of punching them out of the nice cardstock that the printer (EBC) printed to go with the invitations. Each invitation will be closed with black & white polka dot ribbon, with the monogram glued on the center to play as the stamp/clasp to the invitations. However, my 1 1/2 inch Marvy circle punch must suck or something. Every time I try to punch it out, the edges get all rough and just do not look like they are supposed to. They just look, well, ick! After talking to my mom about this, being she's a crafty person too, told me that it is due to the fact that it is one of the "older" Marvy punches, being one that DOES NOT have a lever. According to all-knowing mother, the Marvy punches with levers do the trick. We'll see about this, since I had to order it online. (None of my local craft stores sell that size punch with the lever.) Everyone *cross fingers* that it works out, or I might have to hand cut them all out (EEKK!!) See below, rough edges!

These were the original ideas.

The wedding process

So I'm in the process of working on stuff for my wedding. We already sent our save the dates, the bridal shower is well underway (so I'm told), The invitations have been printed and designed (though still need to be finished up and sent out). Cat luckily has been the greatest maid of honor and helped me put the invitations together and do all those things that need to be done before a wedding.
Below is the invitation process:

A start of a new time

Sitting at the apartment on Memorial Day, I decided that it was time to start a blog for some reason. I think that I need to post some of my designs, scrapbook layouts, craft ideas, random ramblings, as well as the process of the wedding planning. (Yes, I'm getting married in about 3 months!). Things have gotten crazy since I found out that my job was moving from Doylestown, PA to Levittown, PA. My graphic design job at The Intelligencer newspaper is being moved further south to be with the rest of the "design team." Not only my fiancee and I are getting married in 3 months, but we have to find a new apartment closer to both our jobs and figure out a way to manage the new drive. We both are involved in King of Prussia Player's production of "Joseph and the Amazing Techincolor Dreamcoat" so that is another worry, is how we are going to make it to practices on time with the new distance of the new office I'm working at. Ahh!
So I got the great idea to try and breath through it all by starting this blog. Also, I've been adoring many graphic designer and card making/scrapbook artists' blogs.
Enjoy  and help me get through it all!
:)
