2012: A Year in Review infographic style letter

So for this year's "2012 Year in Review" letter that I like to send out to family and friends along with our holiday cards (or just the year in review on its own) I decided to make a sort of "infographic" style letter. I saw a bunch on Pinterest that gave me great inspiration, so this is what I cooked up when I got in the designing mood.
I am happy how it turned out. It seems a little bright when you look at it online, but when you print it out, it looks just right. So far, I've gotten great reviews from those who received it, so I might have to try something new each year. Infographics are sorta my thing, so this letter is kind of a reflection on myself after a very busy and life-changing year (whow...starting to sound a little deep there).

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy it too. (click it to view it bigger).
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and have a very Happy New Year all!

Christmas cards and Happy Holidays!

Since we only have 2 more days till Christmas, I thought it was about time to show off some of the Christmas cards I made this year. I didn't make every card different, but they all are uniquely their own. I had a large number to make this year (over 50) and boy did it take me a few days of all-day card-making to get them done. So here are just a handful of the Holiday cards I made this year.

Doesn't look like much, but this is only half of the cards.

Stay tuned for our 2012 end of the year letter I designed (and I'm mighty proud to say the least), along with a few pics from our "end of the world" party. haha
Stay tuned and I hope you all enjoyed these Holiday cards this year. :D

Oh, and I guess I could share a few pics from my hubs' work party- getting all dressed up and all.

And have I mentioned how much I love peppermint kisses (and Ice cream!)?

And with that, I will leave you all with an adorable picture of Miss Wendy in a box. ;)

Anyways,
Happy Holidays!

Getting settled in our new digs

Sorry I've been so MIA recently, but it has been a super busy month. We've officially lived in our home for over a month now, and things are starting to move along unpacking. Basically I just have a few odds and ends to unpack in our bedroom and my craft room, but for the most part, we are moved in.
Now the house is all decorated for Xmas ;)

(Our fence door- wreath all cute now)

(Our picket fence is all ready for Christmas!)

(dining room table decor- cupcake holder, ornaments, small wreath and diy cakestand)

(Our Xmas tree)

(Our dining room buffet is all set for Christmas)

(Mirrors up in living room- making the light of the tree look so pretty in the reflections!)

So now for some updates- we spent Thanksgiving in Michigan visiting my mom and stepdad, enjoyed seeing the Nutcracker with my mom, watched a Basketball game and took a sleeper train (first time riding in a sleeper train ever) home.

(My mom and I sitting in the Detroit Opera House to see the Nutcracker)

(The beautiful Detroit Opera House)

(Hubs, my parents and I went to a Pistons game- was super close in the end, and quite a good game in the 4th quarter)

(First experience with sleeper car!)

(Was so happy to find a Jamba Juice at the train station- I love these smoothies!)

We also hosted our first gathering last weekend, hosting a cast party (below) for the most recent show the hubs was in- You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. (He played Pig Pen- lol).

Among party hosting, we did get a lot of projects done around the house, making our house a home.
Here is some of the other stuff we did around the house in this past month:

(dressing up the thermostat. lol)

(dining room, thanksgiving/fall decor)

(got new bed)

(little corner in kitchen, perfect for my bar cart and new art)

(I added little pops of green in the kitchen to the silver and black. Works nicely with my bar cart)

(I made this simple kitchen art with silver plastic silverware, a silver frame with black mat, and green fabric)

(Another project I did with sliver plastic ware and a mirror)

(I purchased this cute wreath from a lady on Bucks County Yardsale on facebook. I love it!)

(New dining room table given to us by some friends, Wendy made it her spot to sit right after I added a fall cloth- which now has been swapped out for a Christmas one)

(Our new couch with mirrors put up- the blank space in the center is where our homemade BIG clock will go once we get the clock parts to put it up)

(here is another wreath I got from the one woman online- I love this! It is on our master bathroom door, within our master bedroom- matches our black, white and gray decor.)

(Our first snow at the house)

(Harvest and snow?)

Oh, and remember this old thing?

Well... now it looks like this. All it is waiting is to have done is the middle drawers hardware being put on and baskets purchased/found for the bottom two drawer spots.

I think that's a lot nicer right?

Anyway, so much to do- finish Christmas shopping and making Xmas cards and friend gifts. Hopefully I can get a great deal of this done this weekend. *fingers crossed*

Sorry for the delay, and I hope to post more, now that we are getting settled in the new house.
Thanks for stopping by!
