Summer Lovin'...

This weekend's Fun-Frilled card is all about the grilling during the summer. With a "summer" theme, I just couldn't resist no using these new Studio G "grillin" stamps. :) Just too cute! I also ventured into the crazy world of embossing for this card.
Make sure you check out my card over at Fun-Frilled today!
Also, reminder, today is the Digiment's June release, so make sure you check it out as well! Michelle is running an awesome deal, so get yourself over there for some great ways to save money!
Below is a sneaky peak at my Fun-Frilled Card. Hope you enjoy the card over at Fun-Frilled.

Sorry I have been so negligent on my blog this past few weeks- we've been so busy with moving, the musical and my job that I barely have enough energy to check my email at night! lol
Things should be relaxing a little, since we are getting the last load of stuff this weekend from our old place.
Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!

Sunday Hoot

Today is my day as design team host at Fun-Frilled. This week's theme is to use 4 eyelets. To be honest, I only used 3, but check out my post over there for the whole story. haha
Here's a sneaky peak of my card.

So tomorrow we officially can move into our new apartment. I can't wait! Yay...hardwood floors, new kitchen, a bathroom that isn't Peptobismol pink, a yard, washer and dryer hookup. All the goodies. I can't wait! So needless to say, today is going to be spent finishing packing more stuff (although we have about 3 months to move out of our current place, so there is no huge rush) and I still have practice for the show and work. Ugh.
Anyways, check out Fun-Frilled today. And if you participate in the week's challenge, you can win some great stuff from Verve. I LOVE the set that is being given away. I might just have to pick it up once I have some money. Or if you win it, and already have it, you can give it to me. hehe! just kidding.
Hugs to all and have a hoot of day! ;)

Easter Sunday

So by the time most of you read this, I am either A) sleeping, B) Eatting lunch, C) at work, or D) sleeping. Easter is one of those holidays that I don't get off of work, and since I work on most Sundays, that means I work Easter Sunday. Now, I'm going to be honest here, my hubby and I don't celebrate a lot of holidays (except Christmas, Birthdays, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving and Halloween). We just can't afford it right now, and we also haven't found the right church to attend. But it's alright. We still technically are newlyweds (married in August) so we are allowed to be poor right?
Anyways, enough rambling. My major thing about this post is to remind you to check out Fun-Frilled today. Sundays are my hosting day over at Fun-Frilled, so be sure to check it out here!
If you participate in the weekly theme challenges, you can win some awesome loot. Check out the regulations and prizes here.
Ok, hope you all are enjoying your holiday! Easter blessings to you all!

Only a few more days till St. Patrick's Day! So in celebration, check out my card over at Fun-Frilled. It's the last day of St. Patrick's Day theme over there. Check it out! It was a toughy for me, since I'm still so new at all of this and I don't have a lot of stuff. I'm glad how it turned out, though I wish I had more holiday stuff (other than Xmas and V-day, I am very light on other holidays). I ended up using Christmas chipboard for this. Haha.

It's Sunday, baby!

So you all have to check out Fun-Frilled today. It once again is a Sunday and you know what that means? It is my day over at Fun-Frilled! Go check it out before you sit down to have your morning breakfast or head to church. This week's theme is Baby Girl in light of Molly (one of the Design team members for Fun-Frilled) having a baby girl. I had so much fun making this card as cutesy as I possibly could. I love working with pink too. When the Cropping station about a month ago was going out of business I stocked up on fun embellishments that I couldn't find in Micheal's or ACMoore, such as these Crocheted flowers by Fancy Pants designs. I also picked up a pad of 6x6 designer paper by Basic Grey (which I used a piece in the card). I love 6x6 designer paper pads. It takes up less room and it is perfect for cards. I do occasionally scrapbook, so having large designer paper works for that too, but recently I just haven't been in the mood to do more than just cards. I go through phases I guess. Anyways, here is a sneak peek at the card. Check out the full card over at Fun-Frilled! Enjoy and make sure to leave me blog comment love either here or on Fun-Frilled. Hugs all!

- lace was given to my mother who gave to me by my grandmother (so it is I guess antique-ish lace) :)

Mardi Gras time!

Ok, so over at Fun-Frilled the theme is Mardi Gras. Boy was that a tough theme for me. I ended up printing out an illustration on my computer in order to get something somewhat close to what I wanted image wise. I did color it in on my own though- I didn't cheat that much! haha
Anyways, while I was cranking out the Mardi Gras card for Fun-Frilled I also created another "Party" card in similar colors (I had those colors out, why not make more cards than one with them!?)
Here's a sneaky peak of my Mardi Gras card for Fun-Frilled:

To see the full card and check out the site I'm on the design team for and see my post over at the Fun-Frilled site today (Sunday) at: http://funfrilled.blogspot.com/

I know I usually ramble more, but I just don't feel like typing much. So enjoy just looking at cards and not having to read through my garbly-gook! haha

Here is my other same color combos card as well. Enjoy!

It's a flower party!

Yay for square punches!

So make sure you check out my card and the rest of the design team everyday/everyweek on the Fun-Frilled site. Have a good weekend all! Don't hesitate to leave me comment love... It makes me smile everytime. :) Also CHECK OUT the post that I put up before this. It is two cards I made for KWerner's Color Inspiration Challenge. I had so much fun doing them, so check it out!
Hugs to all!

I still want to search down a circle scallop punch to buy one of these days. Someday when my hubby isn't trying to find a new job, we aren't trying to pay off the little debt we have and try to save up for a house, I'll make an online order and purchase new punches and stuff that I really want but can't get at Michael's.

Great news; surprise revealed!

Ok, now for the great news of my surprise you've all been waiting for! Yay!

Ok, so I have been asked to be part of the design team for a new card challenge site called 'Fun-Frilled'. This is making me SOOOOOOO excited! I have only really been doing cards/papercrafts for a short time, and already I am truly addicted.  Today was the official announcement/start on the site. The first week's challenge starts on Monday, February 16 with one of the designers showing off their take on the challenge each day. Each week is a new theme, and each day of the week will feature a card by each designer on "their day." My first card will be featured starting on Sunday February 22! Sundays will be "me" day on Fun-Frilled. So, make sure to check it out (not just on my day but everyday!).  Mark your calendars for Monday Feb. 16th, and make sure to check out who's on the design team with me at Fun-Frilled.
On that note, I am heading to bed early. I haven't been sleeping well at all this week and I am swamped at the paper these days, so I think I earned some good long sleep.
Check out Fun-Frilled and support me! This is such a big thing for me, and I want everyone to come and share it with me and the rest of the design team!
Woooooooo!
Nighty night.
