So a co-worker of mine requested 2 cards for me to make for her. She is a bridesmaid in her friend's wedding a week from now (4th of July weekend) and wanted a custom wedding and bachelorette party card. And below is what I came up with for the Bachelorette card.
The wedding colors are hot pink and black polka dotted. How fun! (I can't imagine any guy allowing their future wife to pick those for their wedding, but whatever works).
Below is the wedding card. I went the "cutesty approach."
I had a lot of fun with these. Enjoy all and sorry for such a quick post!
Hugs!

KWerner's Color Inspiration #55
So here is the card I created for KWerner's Color Inspiration Challenge #55. I just LOVE these colors, but to be honest I was initially stumped on what kind of card to make (that wasn't Autumn or fall-like). So I got these great stamps from Inka Stamps when it was going out of business, and I just LOVE the takeout box. Sadly I didn't have very many good sentiments to go with them, but I though Yummy would do just fine (taken from a cupcake set by Studio G).
Another problem I came across is the fortune cookie (aka. PacMan...lol). I have a fortune cookie stamp (also from Inka Stamps) however I really wanted to cut it out, and it didn't look right cut out since it basically is all one shade with a tad bit darker shade on the center folded part, so I just flipped it over and used the back-non stamped side of the paper as my fortune cookie.
Anyways, enjoy all and stay tuned, for I will be posting some adorable cards I made for a co-worker to give to her friend for her Bachelorette party and wedding- its all hot pink, black, and white with polka dots (the wedding colors!). :)
Have a great night/day all!

Hats off to the Dads
This weekend I am host over at Fun-Frilled. This week's theme is Father's Day. I decided once again try to make my own Designer Paper, but re-creating the same pattern that is on the ribbon. I had a lot of fun working on this card, since it included the Father's Day Digiment, buttons, ribbons, stamped paper...all that fun stuff. AND a Top Hat to "top it off!" lol
Here's a sneaky peak at my card. To see the full card, check out Fun-Frilled.
Anyways, make sure you check it out sometime during your busy weekend schedules. Leave me some comment love either here or at Fun-Frilled. I like to know that I'm not talking to myself! lol
Have a great weekend all!

Old-Fashioned Dads
So this card was the last of the 5 Father's Day cards to send out this season. (my dad, stepdad, my hubby's dad, and my hubby's grandfather and step-grandpa.) This card is all about the "old school" dads. This image is from Inka Stamps, along with the top hat stamp. I got these puppies on the closing sale of Inka Stamps, which makes me sad, since I really do like her stamps.
The sentiment is the ONLY "Happy Father's Day" sentiment stamp I own, from Studio G. Since the main image is so large, I tried to just do some layering of paper to make it fell more dressed up. I had my hubby choose the button, so if you don't like it, blame him! lol
So I sent all the Father's Day cards out this morning, so hopefully they get to all the right places by Father's Day.
On another note, not related to cards, it has been raining here for the past week. Ugh! We went out tonight to go get our laundry done (which putting laundry basket/tube thingies in the car in the rain was NOT fun!), however the local laundry mats all close at 9, which we found out to our dismay! When you work till 7, like me, get home around 7:45, like me, then have to eat...9pm closing times just don't fly with me! So needless to say, we might have to get up wayyyyy early to get the laundry done, or have to suffer till Friday, when I work a later shift. ugh. I cannot wait till we can afford to buy ourselves a washer and dryer!
Anyways, hope everyone's week is going well. I'll be most likely spending it either at work, driving, or at Dolly! practice. :)
Hugs all!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #9
Here is a quick post for a quick card I made for the Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #9. I hope to give this to a friend who just needs a little card for a little pick-me-up. :) Now my cream is a little darker of a cream than what is shown in the picture and I used a slightly darker green type of paper, since I had no plain grass green paper anymore, just Designer paper that had it in it! haha.
Anyways, have a great Tuesday all!

Thank you cards and updates
So, I feel bad because I haven't had much blogging/cardmaking done recently except for my design teams, so I finally had some free time to make a card that wasn't for a design team this weekend. Now granted, it was for a co-worker, who's only request is a thank you card to give to someone, but still there was no immediate deadline for it.
Now I will tell you this, it is not the biggest and grandest card I have ever made. I did use an old card from one of my many blogs I follow (no clue who though) as my inspiration as far as the layout goes. You see, I have this folder on my computer, "card ideas". I basically open up that folder when I am stuck. When I surf the net, I just grab photos for inspiration. Now I would never outright copy someone, but sometimes you need great design to inspire you to do your own designs. It's just like looking in a magazine for inspiration, except on my computer. Sometimes I get color combo ideas, and others I get techniques or sketch-type ideas from them. Every now in then I need a little boost in my creativity. :)
As far as the moving to the new apartment goes, we are pretty much done. We have all the major stuff and all the things we NEED here. There is still basically a bunch of little stuff left over at the old place. We plan to make it a habit of picking up one load every Saturday till the end of August (when that lease is finally up), that way we don't get bombarded with having to grab and clean it all in the last week. I hate moving and I hate having boxes everywhere still. Ugh.
The musical, "Hello, Dolly!" is in full swing. I can't believe that we open in less than 5 weeks! Tomorrow my hubby and I hope to make it out to a secondhand shop to search for some props/costume ideas, since the costume department is having problems finding costumes to fit my "bust" area. lol I guess all the people they've had in shows before never had big boobs! I can't wait for the performances- that is one of my favorite parts of theater. This is basically my first big role in a show since my sophomore year in high school. I can't wait. If anyone is in the King of Prussia/Philadelphia, PA region, let me know and I'll give you info to see the show!
Other than the move, musicals, and my cards, not a whole lot happening in the world of Morgaine. We're trucking along, even though I'm working for 10% less pay these days (got a paycut), but with more work. (darn you economy!) But what can you do?
Anyways, here's the card I was talking about.
And if you haven't seen any of my weekend posts because you were too busy this weekend, check them out here and here. Fun-Frilled is still doing wonderful themes (check out this past weekend's Summer card of mine here- it's one of my new favs.) and Digiments just had their June release party, so check them all out too!
Have a great Monday everyone and stay smiling!

Summer Lovin'...
Make sure you check out my card over at Fun-Frilled today!
Also, reminder, today is the Digiment's June release, so make sure you check it out as well! Michelle is running an awesome deal, so get yourself over there for some great ways to save money!
Below is a sneaky peak at my Fun-Frilled Card. Hope you enjoy the card over at Fun-Frilled.
Sorry I have been so negligent on my blog this past few weeks- we've been so busy with moving, the musical and my job that I barely have enough energy to check my email at night! lol
Things should be relaxing a little, since we are getting the last load of stuff this weekend from our old place.
Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!

Just for teacher
Ok. So I don't have any children and I no longer am in school, so this card is a card I probably will pass on to my sister-in-law or a friend who has kids. Here's a sneaky peak. To see the whole card, check out Fun-Frilled today!
