More Digiments sneek peeks and Release info

Make sure you check out Digiments today! It is the last day of Sneek Peeks and we are showcasing the new "About you" and "Birthday expressions." Check them out on Digiments here.
Below are two cards I've made using Digiments in the Birthday Expressions collection. Gotta have plenty of Birthday cards at all times of the year these days. :)

(This one is all about the card base. I used the Swiss dots embossing folder with some heat-set embossed swirls)

(When I saw this birthday set of popup stickers, I just had to use them. So cute. Who would of thought that I found these cuties at the dollar store!?)

(This one I gave to my mom. It's so fun and happy I thought she would like it)

Now, I'll be gone for the weekend to go to Celtic Fest, so this is also my shout out to CHECK OUT DIGIMENTS on Saturday for the Release of the September 09 collections. You can purchase them at the Digiments blog. Remember 50% of the proceeds are donated to Tina's cause. There are 30 Digiments in the release. The Digiments are priced at $1 each with a $5 minimum purchase, or $15 for the entire new release. Check it out and get your hands on the new collection!
Have a great weekend all!
Hugs.

Digiements September Release: Day 1 sneaky peek

So here is a get well card I made with one of the new Digiments from the upcoming September release. I right now am soooo in love with the swirls set that I got from my dear mom, that is has become my fav. stamp set to use recently (as you will notice later).
There are 5 digiments in the Get Well collection, (one being the one I used below) so check out more info here.

If you are unsure about Digiments because you don't know how to use them, check out my three informational tutorials on how to change the color of your digiment, using gradients, and changing the background colors. (It is done in Photoshop for those who were wondering). All three use a new Faith Digiment in the Faith collection.
Check it out!
I had a blast figuring out how to make the videos in the first place, so please check them out:
Lesson one: Changing the color of your Digiments
Lesson two: Using gradients on your Digiments
Lesson three: Changing the background behind your Digiments

Make sure you check out Digiments all this week for more sneaky peeks, and I'll try to keep you posted on more sneak Digiment cards I've made. Enjoy!

Oh, and did I forget to mention there will be 30 Digiments in total to be released on Saturday - priced at $1 each with a $5 minimum purchase, or $15 for the entire new release? ALSO,
Digiments is giving 50% of all sales to Tina's cause.
$7.50 from each full-set order will go directly to Tina.

You can read more about Tina's cause on the Digiments site.
So check it out and stay tuned for more sneaks and fun!
Hugs all and leave me some comment love!

Embellish submission

Here is a card I submitted to Embellish magazine- a new online magazine that is all about the embellishments and color challenges! I had some fun with this- was a little stumped at first. I was so stressed to just use these colors, that I didn't even read the challenge right, where it says "white and cream" are optional. lol. DUH! I didn't notice it till I went back to submit it to the magazine tonight. Figures...I'm such a blonde. :)

Anyways, I don't mind how it turned out, but I plan to make a few more cards later this week to submit (before Sept. 27- the deadline) that use white. lol. I feel so weird not using white.
This might remind you of Kwerner- I was trying to channel her while making this card. lol
Anyways, Enjoy!

Digiments How-to videos by me!

So over at Digiments, we on the design team are getting ready to celebrate the release of the September 2009 Digiments collection. The September collections drops into blogger land on Saturday Sept. 26 (one week from now) so mark your calendars and prepare for some fun!
Stay tuned for some cards I made with the September Digiments!

Also, BIG NEWS with Digiments, is I was asked to create a few How-to videos on how to use your Digiments, such as How to change their color, how to size them, using gradients on them, and changing their backgrounds. I created 3 individual How-to's to help you out in using your Digiments, or many digital stamps for that matter.
Lesson One: How to change the color of your Digiment is up and showing over at the Digiment's blog. Check it out and learn all about it! >>> click here for Lesson One.
Make sure you check back on the Digiments blog later on Saturday for Lesson Two, and Sunday for Lesson Three.

Then, stay tuned throughout next week for the sneak peeks of the new September release.
Now, I AM using a September 2009 release Digiment in all three videos, so you will get to see one of the new Digiments before the other sneak peeks. :)
So make sure you check out my How-to videos! I was very excited to make these, (it took me a lot of research to get the program to record from my computer screen, and I had to record the sound on my other computer separately since I don't have a built in mic. on my laptop, then video edited it all together- took a lot longer than I thought to do the whole process. lol)
In the videos I am using Photoshop CS4. Now I also have Photoshop CS2 on my other computer, and all of the options are the EXACT same. So if you have another version besides CS2-CS4 Photoshop, I'm pretty sure (but not 100% positive) that you can do all the things I go over in the videos. Now if you are using a program other than Photoshop, I'm not sure I can help you if you have any questions, but if you do use Photoshop and have a question about it, I probably can answer it for you. I am the Photoshop Guru at my work after all. ;) lol
Make sure you check out my How-to Videos and let me know either on this blog post, or over at Digiments if you find it helpful or if you have any questions. Thanks all and I hope the videos help ya all out! :)
Hugs all and stay tuned for more Digiments sneaks!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #16

Time for some color challenge goodness. These colors are brought to you by the Raspberry Suite #16 Color Challenge by Dawn McVey (see above). I love how these colors just scream fall to me. I got so Fall and Thanksgiving card happy with these colors, that I made 3 cards for the challenge! Check out all the wonderful cards made by others for this challenge here.

(These colors just screamed thanksgiving to me, and I just HAD to use some new DP paper I got for fall and My Favorite Things' sentiment. The sketch is similar to one Dawn did a while back, I just changed things up a bit to fit what I wanted to do and my style of cards.)

(I thought the sentiment wasn't dark enough so I tried to go back and darken it with more ink, however it gave this shadow effect to it, but now that I look at it, I kinda like the effect.)

(My second card I made for the challenge is all about the wood-like paper. I am so into owls right now, so I wanted to make this card with one also.)

(I originally made a word bubble, a-la KWerner style, however it was too big for the card and looked funny, so I did the sentiment/word bubble on the woodgrain paper)

(This is my least favorvite of the three. Mostly because I still am not happy with how that leaf turned out. The ink just soaked into the paper too much, to get the kraft-color I wanted. Oh well, 2 out of 3 isn't bad...lol)

I hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend. I am enjoying the last of my 3-day weekend, since I have to work on Labor Day (but I did get Friday off instead).
Leave me some comment love so I know you all are still out there and still following...I feel like I'm talking to myself some days. lol. Let me know which is your favorite, since I know what I like, but that usually isn't what other people like. :)
Have a great holiday all!
